If you are just starting out as a designer or maybe you just like messing around with Photoshop & Illustrator, learning keyboard shortcuts can help you out immensely in time and in effort. Now, of course you or not going to be able to memorize all of them unless you are some type of human computer or you are Daniel Tammet. Just learning a few of the ones that are repeated tasks like copy, paste, transform or zoom will help.

What I have done was, printed out the pdfs (see below) and taped them to the wall in front of my workstation. Everyday I try to remember 2 or 3 new ones. I’ll take some time and start a new project using the new ones I have learned so I can retain them into memory. Using this method I think now have over 65 shortcuts for photoshop and 45 for Illustrator embedded into memory. It is a daunting task for some, but if you repeatedly try new ones, you’re sure to add a few to your arsenal.
